FASTEST way to unlock steam locomotive please

Hi, I am a die hard train simmer... and am pretty excited about what I see here with DV. But I keep trying shunter missions only to fail from a derail even while being careful or not being able to complete a mission for time or whatever...so for a few weeks I've gotten no where. What one mission or two will get me the money fastest to unlock the steam locomotive. I am only doing this because the youtube videos seem to show an amazing life like simulation of this with motions, and sounds we've never had before in the other sims which are largely stale and non-lifelike... so any hints would be great! thanks!

theres a save editor on nexus mods that you can use to get your steamer licence alter money and a few extra goodies

its the quickest way i know besides just grinding out high pay hauls

Hi, one of the quick ways to unlock the steam locomotive is to take two freight haul jobs from Steel Mill to Harbor simultaneously. The route is mostly flat, and you only need to do it once to earn enough cash for the steam locomotive license, which you can buy directly at the Harbor office. Often there's a steam locomotive to be found there too.

Alternatively haul iron ore out of iron mine east, it's an easy run, stay below 25 while descending the mountain and you'll bee good

I dont bother with shunter missions, literally a few long hauls and you can get some good money, the best advice is slow over junctions and corners, its not a game to rush

were is the so60 i see it at bobs grrage but not useable i bought the licence were is it it also dosnt spawn any were

You can also use this guide and unlock every train in sandbox mode. If you don't mind using a shortcut.

Or, devs could just make this an actual SANDBOX instead of a career mode in a sandbox mode! ? If I need a cheat, I'm back to the old version where I could have just used a cheat. Why call it 'sandbox' mode then? Maybe folks need to look up 'sandbox mode'. This an't it!

The S060 isn't fully done yet, should be in an update in a few weeks (along with the DE6 Slug) I believe.
