dynamic breaks
Can someone explain why the dynamic breaks do not work? Am I doing something wrong? Also if they are supposed to work, they should be part of the remote control system. As far as I know Of the breaks, you go to idle, then engage the dynamic break. there is a setup time for the engine to engage the break. then you can increase the breaking power to control speeds down hill. This is to reduce wear on the breaks. That is what the dynamic break is for.

Sorry to say mate they dont work. your not doing anything wrong. just not included in the game.

much like the shunters fan switch and headlights that while beautiful model wise do nothing at this point in time

imagine that scene in startrek generations except its not tuesday, no one knows

you simply left spacedock without dynamic brakes

Dynamic brakes aren't in the game yet, but they're in the works and will come in the big 2021 update. More info here:

I can't wait for the dynamic brake to be implemented in DE6.
It definitely helps reduce maintenance costs.

However, as long as the remote controller is portable, I think that there is no problem because it is composed of the minimum necessary functions for weight reduction (in the game).
i.e. I think that the dynamic braking function is not always necessary for the remote controller.

The main purpose of the remote controller "TELELOCOTEK e9000" is to use it when shunting, as described in the instruction manual.
Especially, small shunters like the DE2 often run at low speeds, so dynamic brake is often omitted to simplify the control system.
This is because the dynamic braking is almost ineffective at low speeds because the amount of electricity generated by the electric motor is small.

I agree, the remote should not include dynamic brakes, they are not used in shunting operations, which is when a remote is used. While we are at it, get rid of the couple/uncouple function on the remote, just doesn't exist irl.
