It definitely helps reduce maintenance costs.
However, as long as the remote controller is portable, I think that there is no problem because it is composed of the minimum necessary functions for weight reduction (in the game).

I agree, the remote should not include dynamic brakes, they are not used in shunting operations, which is when a remote is used. While we are at it, get rid of the couple/uncouple function on the remote, just doesn't exist irl.
