Shunting bug or am i missing something?
So i haul this big ass freight train across the map. After collecting my money, the shunting job appear for unloading that same train which is still connectec to my loco. Guess what imma take that money too, we probably all do this?

Any way, I have to unload it in the D1 and then make a cut and store the empty car in two tracks. Pretty straight forward.

So i put most of the train in the D1 but it doesnt even fit since this track is quite short and the train is huge, maybe 15 car idk.
So the unloader say All car Must be on track.

Then i decided to make the cut already since i had to do it anyway. I back the train out of the way, make my cut and leave the other part of the train in another track. Didnt bother me yet because i had to do it anyway later to store them. i return to the D1 track with merely 5 car, all in the track and on track.

Cant Unload, all car must be on track... so i went to check if they were by any chance a derailed axle or something, but nothing.

So i cant do it at once, but i cant cut the freight to unload it. So i just couldnt do it in the end, i had to discard the damn job, goodbye my 28k for an easy shunting. :(

So what did i miss?

Did you check the IDs of the cars? You said that you had to store the unloaded train in two different locations (on two different tracks). The shunting job acutally specifies which car goes on which track. In the end, all cars fit onto the track. They don't have to be put between the signs, it is OK to put them clear of the points/switches.
My first unload job, I thought I'd get cute and slow-roll the train through the loading track while trying to unload it. However, I kept getting that message, even though it was only a few cars and they were definitely fully on the loading track. Once I applied the brakes and had the train fully stopped, it worked, no problem.

So the lesson from me is: if your train is moving at all, it won't let you load/unload.
I don't know if this is your problem that you're encountering, but a reminder that all the cars do not need to be between the signs on the loading tracks. They only need to be between the switches. The game doesn't create jobs that are too big for the tracks they go on.

If you take the job to the job validator, a report should say what's wrong (if it's a derailed car or a missing one). To check if a car is derailed, you can just scan the whole train with the comms radio laser while in the Rerail mode.
