*Sexual moans*
Ok, Really? Kind of came out of nowhere there
I don't know why you should think abut something sexual...
You took this way to seriously. It was a stupid joke to express happines.
Thanks for shedding some light, Altfuture. I learned in the hazmatvideo that we can expect faster travelling ... would that include some lines with smoother curves as well?
Last week I found a bit of mostly straight track on the map and enjoyed whipping the Loco up to 70 kmh for a while.
By the way: I see Coop is unlocked and scheduled for 2020, not mentioned on the roadmap though. I understand this is all still very much up in the air, but are you thinking of a 2-player-coop only or more players?
And: Will it be possible for one player to set the switches in each station from a centralized point like a dispatcher? Ive seen Flight-simulators with busy Airports being "manned" by players.
Right now setting the switches in stations is the part of the game I enjoy the least, as it involves a lot of running back and forth sometimes.
Cheers! Great Game!
The 2-player Co-op reward is unlocked but we haven't started work on it yet. The plan is to first finish Hazmat, Railbus, Caboose and Diesel before moving on to Train Mod Support and eventually Co-op. We aren't including those in the roadmap until we start work on them and have a better knowledge of what needs to be done, as those two tasks are huge.
The co-op will most probably be for 2 players only, where the second player will be limited to a certain area around the first player. There might be a centralized switch-panel, this is not certain yet.
I can imagine Multiplayer to be something very assymetric. About all of the titles you can play with friends have you be similar characters with similar tools and options. Now with you saying the second player being pinned to the first this reminded me of a thougt ive been cultivating.
Good friends of mine that have got married recently were the kickoff for this: Both enjoyed Breath of the Wild a lot - he liked the adventuring but not cooking are sorting the inventory out. His wife loved watching but never did any dungeons or adventures - whenever she turned the console on she would be looking for ingredients, cook them up and fill her husbands inventory with the highest grade of meals, which function as the games Health and Stamina-potions and may grant additional bonuses, if well made.
So for "Multiplayer" you really just need two (or more) people interact together in any way. What this could mean for Derail Valley I dont know yet, but I feel its a pretty helpful perspective on what Multiplayer can be. Maybe an interactive Map of my game someone can open in his browser to turn the signals for me? They would not even have to own the game to interact with me.
