Any Way to Drive The Handcar in Non-VR Mode?
While its fun to run it over with the Switcher, I'd like to be able to drive the handcart in Non-VR mode. Is there any way to do that?

the controls are (If I remember correctly) U and Y.

Both of you are correct, but note that we'll probably remove non-F keys from default in the next build).

Handcar should also be usable with mouse in the future, currently only keyboard control is supported.

Why remove the hotkeys? those are the main way I personally play with the game

Those were added temporarily actually, and were deprecated within a few weeks since launch of the game when we introduced keys F1-6 instead for train control. For example, we might need the letter M to be used for equipping map, and currently that wouldn't be possible as it's used for brakes.

You'll still be able to remap the keys to what you want by editing the keybindings.ini file, or via the console commands, but non-F keys just won't be the default.

Alright, though it might be a good idea to add in-game rebinding as an option in the settings, for those who may not be the most savvy with the modification of files (or the console commands).

Definitely. The only reason I'm mentioning the other two ways is because making the rebinding interface is a much bigger task that we didn't have time for so far.

fair enough, take all the time you need to get it right, i'm sure we can figure it out in the meantime.
