Mouse Lag?

When I got the game I noticed that sometimes i have to move the mouse on the pad in some way + click it for it to register. This is in skipping dialogue AND attacking at times but not 100% of the time. It was actually a huge issue when I first got the game, because while the game was active it happened across my pc when I alt-tab too. But it got a bit better and I adjusted and just dealt with it.

Now i'm getting serious mouse-input lag, I can't draw on the brush, attack, or adjust my camera at all in a cohesive way. I nearly died fighting Waka at Taka Pass for goodness sake..

I don't know what to do to be honest. At this point I can't even return the game and it's not my mouse that's the issue as far as I know. Does anyone know anything that may help?

If I recall correctly it has to do with the game using a lot of CPU time, making the input devices lag or get disconnected. I didn't have that problem, but apparently you can try going into device manager and disabling all "HID-compliant devices" before starting the game, and that should help (more info in this thread). Other than that, if the issue really is caused by high CPU usage, you might try a program that limits it (more info in this thread).
