Game not recognizing Power Slash

So you know where you fight Waka on your way to revive Taka Pass? There is a stray bead in the water around there that you can find because it has bubbles rising up above it. You are supposed to power slash it, but I every time I`ve tried, the game recognizes it it as water, and I have tried over ten times. Should I just keep trying or should I restart the game to before I got water?

Try to start drawing on something that is not water. I think if you start drawing on water, you'll always activate the Waterspout.

I tried this but the game still doesn`t recognize it as power slash, now just doing the animation for a failed brush stroke. Thanks for trying though.

Maybe try drawing the line quicker and using thick brush?
