How To Jump Attack

Sorry if this is dumb, I'm just stuck and starting to lose it lmao

I'm at the Princess Fuse battle with the first blue imp, and no matter what I do I can't jump+attack to get the damn thing down.

I'm on a laptop and therefore using a keyboard, and I've tried to look it up online with no help. I've tried to double jump then attack, attack and jump at the same time, attack then jump, jump then attack while holding the forawrd button. Is there a different way? I've tried the battle over a dozen times at least and would appreciate the help!

I just ran into the fight before the curse or whatever took away my ink (not sure if you should be able to do that or if it's a bug)

Usually you just need to jump and the immediately attack. Maybe try holding the jump button and attack at the top of the jump? I don't have any troubles doing it.

Thanks for the replies, the right clicker button my my mouse pad doesn't seem to be recognized when trying to jump dash, so I just switch the dash key when I need it lol
