First cherry bomb practice won't blow up wall

I got past the point where there is a cutscene and Bakugami gives you the cherry bomb power - but then, when I'm supposed to practice the cherry bomb against the first wall, no matter where I draw the cherry bomb it won't get close enough to the wall. I keep getting the "Now, try drawing it right next to the crack". So, I'm just stuck at that point in the game.
Also, for this scene, you can't change the camera angle or move at all.

Try changing the camera angle and then draw it. Or simply push the bomb closer the wall after you draw it.

You can't move in first time practice scenes.

If you've drawn the circle part exactly around the crack then added fuse and the bomb blows and it still doesn't work, you're just ♥♥♥♥ out of luck. Revert to a point before and come back to try again.

I've restarted several times, still doesn't work

So the cherry bomb appears and blows up but doesn't blow up the wall and redoing the whole thing doesn't help?

Do you mean restart as in start game from beginning?

try drawing smaller circles. Bigger circles means near the camera, smaller circles means far off the camera.
After the tutorial, it's best to move the camera upwards and draw on the ground though.

Yea, it always rolls/bounces towards me and away from the wall.
Also, by restart the game I mean exit and then open it.

If you still haven't gotten it just try to draw it on different places, like on the ground as well as you can. (You can draw them on air and they fall then and keep rolling.) It's pretty much the only thing I can think of except from starting over. The game is really finiccy about the drawing sometimes.

You can't do anything besides drwaing on tutorials. This includes movement and camera.

I might have figured this one out, if you draw smaller bombs, it will be further away. If you draw big ones it will be closer to you. Try the smallest circle you can draw

I FIGURED IT OUT! Playing on my PC: you place the small bomb to the right of the crack (not on the crack, which is counter-intuitive to the instructions). It will stay there during the tutorial.
