Not detecting controller?

Even with input mapper running when launching the game I can't use my controller.....

I am having the same issue. And honestly, this game supports DS4 natively, you shouldn't even need to use an external program.

For me it magically worked the second time while mashing buttons, maybe that helped? Hope they fix these issues with gamepad detection soon.

It didn't even detect my controller when I launched the game which is WHY I started up input mapper!

Restarting steam and SCP service (using PS3 Controller) worked for me.

Great...I can't play this game again are you serious? I don't have nor will get an xbox controller as I just can't stand them and have been able to use my ps4 for every other game in existance how does it NOT detect controllers....

Whoops, Aesir posted before me almost what I said, so I deleted my post before seeing that you had answered me.

By "you don't lose nothing by trying" I wasn't talking about trying a 360 controller, but about trying to restart Steam. Davion said that the game has native DS4 support (and also 360 one), so there's a chance that simply restarting Steam also helps in your case.

game emulates controllers though the steamapi. try going into big picture, choosing the game, and unticking controller support for it. if your pad stops working, I'm right.

My controller (xbone pad) started working when i restarted steam. the game automatically puts you in big pic mode when you launch it seems

I don't use big picture and I just checked in big picture that I have the 360 controller support disabled (from the Steam options, not from the game options itself, since I didn't found there the option to disable the support). Are you sure it doesn't have native support at least for 360 controllers?

you have to enable it so an option to untick the box for support shows up. then disable it again.

and yes, no native support at all.

It doesn't have native support for controllers at all. You need to emulate it via Steam. Refunding.

might aswell pray to jebus for all the good it'll do. valve don't fix things. they have outstanding problems for over 7 years.
