if ye knows how to fix the analog stick in steam layouts please let us know!
I literally have one hand and part of another hand, but its difficult to use as I have to hold the controller with my knee

Both of my analog sticks stopped working. Your not alone. I have confirmed its not my XBOX 360 controller or my boyfriends XBOX One.

I finished the game but was running through to grab an additional achievement I missed. I was just playing yesterday!

So to add, its the menus, the celestial brush and fishing that do not work with the analog stick. How annoying! I would have had this finished finished tonight!

A lot of us seem to suddenly have this issue. There's a thread in Discussions > Help / Tech Support > "Odd Controller Issue" where we were talking about it. It might help get someones attention if you comment there and in the bug report thread in the Help forum, too.

Not sure but we are not alone. Apparently a lot of people are having this issue. Running Windows 11 and just updated the PC recently? Might be that recent windows patch (do not roll back its a super important security update)

70% of pc users still run win 10, for a damn good reason

all suck,

later this year EVERYONE will be forced to make an msaccount and use that...to go to everything else


there is no issue with windows on this
its something with steam and.. the game

我也碰到了一模一样的问题，手柄的左摇杆没法移动笔刷。
我尝试了PS4的手柄、PS5的普通手柄和精英手柄、NS的Pro手柄，全是一样的问题。
但是我发现使用手柄上的触控板可以控制画笔，虽然设置里它是空白的。而且就算我改了设置也没用，摇杆永远没法控制画笔。

playing this on the steamdeck and came up with the same issue, even tried using my pro control and still have this issue. crazy thing is the game was working perfectly fine when I woke up this morning.

I have exactly the same problem both on Steam Deck and Windows 10 PC using Xbox One controller.
Also had celestial brush problem but fixed it in steam input by changing to thumb stick sensitive option.

I'm using Windows 11 and a PS4 controller and am having the same issue.
I was able to move the brush when I played the day before yesterday.

I'm sure this is already been figured out. But on steam deck, using default controller options, I went under 'celestial brush actions' section of controls. Then I changed the left stick behavior from 'draw' to 'joystick mouse' and then clicked the settings button and lowered sensitivity to 25% which feels close enough to the usual drawing so far.

Edit: did the same on "menu actions" section of the steam control settings. Changed the left joystick to act as d-pad, then just have to set the directions to 'move up, move down' etc. not in a position to try and figure out anything for fishing

fishing is broken

only way ive found is using KB and mouse

the game sees your kb and mouse, as well as the controller
it gets confused.

so far no real fix, thought its odd fishing worked then didnt
and the brush stopped moving too for one day

now back to no fish

its insane

again the issue seems to be the game registers the next as wasd not the left analog
