Wallpapers for Steam?

So this might be pretty dumb question. I found the wallpapers, but are they just for your desktop and not for steam? I've never used a steam wallpaper so maybe that's not an odd thing for dlc. I just assumed it would be a steam background.

If you are talking about the wallpaper DLC then yes, it is just for your desktop. Steam wallpapers are what you get after you craft a badge, and they appear in your inventory.

Steam wallpapers are tied in with the service's leveling system (or rather they came about as a result of this system). A game is not going to ever hand you marketplace items unless it's a special item, like the DOTA 2 courier.

If you preordered the game do you not get the wallpapers? I looked under the DLC but nothing is there.

Unfortunately no. The bonuses did not appear until the game was officially released.

Note the early purchase period started the day of release. I personally think it's pretty shoddy for Capcom to have done, it's kind of a small "🖕 you" to people who pre-purchased.

I preordered the game about a month before it came out and I still recieved the wallpapers.

Did you? That's actually good to hear bc it would be 100% scummy if the people that got the game early got left out. I didn't buy the game til it was released, so I couldn't say myself.

One way or the other, aren't those wallpapers like the thousands you can find online? You can even download these ones since I'm sure people have already uploaded them.

Or am I missing something?

I just found them. I had to scroll down in the game page and download them, they just didn't appear in the DLC page. They're in the steam folder under SteamLibrary > steamapps > common > Okami > Wallpaper. They could of made those easier to find.
