the pc version of ff9 is a port of the ps4 version of it... ps4 is a neutered pc board with specialized software.. it was reletively easy to just convert it to windows
and any time someone just makes an emulator for a game point they get murdered by the fanboy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
nope, only sometimes is it just emulated roms, (and its usually clear when it is) and even then its never for HD versions. what you are thinking of is not a port as well. to port somthing means to tweek or reprogram a game to run nativley on some other piece of hardware.
Edit: the whole point was first that it's not impossible because emulation, and second that's exactly what people said about final fantasy 9 how it was never going to get a steam port, etc... Yet it did.
DS was just a small screen and low poligons and bad resolution.
