Gen's Tower in Sen Ai (Spoilers)

Trying to get the paintbrush skill here for lightning, while my lines are clearly distinct the game is reading it as me doing the infinity symbol for the other skill. I'm clearly drawing a lightning bolt but the game refuses to accept the input as such.

I think there were some kind of lightbulbs, gears or whatever on the machine where you are drawing the lightning bolt, try connecting them in this shape. Or find someone on youtube who did it to see what you might be doing wrong. For me it worked first time, so I can't say how accurate you have to be to make the game recognize it.

Well, I got it. But it's still a really finnicy brush stroke that works half the time. I just found it weird the game was detecting my brush strokes as one for fire or wind blowing, when I was very cclearly doing a lightning bolt.

The issue with the lightning bolt one is you can't even curve it the slightest amount, otherwise it won't recognize it. It's already pretty finnicky with a controller but I don't even dare to imagine doing it with a mouse.

You'd figure it should be more accurate/easier to do with a mouse. I am on keyboard /mouse though.
