Annoying little glitch

So I've noticed that anytime I drop an item, about 5 seconds later...THE ITEM APPEARS WITH ME AGAIN.

This is really starting to tick me off. I don't want the item, thank you. I keep dropping it for a reason.

Why would you ever drop anything in the game? Also what item? It might be important for some quest (can't remember all stuff despite finishing the game twice this year hah)

It's not. It's been throughout multiple areas. Right now, I'm at Oni Island, I held onto a key that I forgot wasn't needed after you get through with Tobi's mazes.

It's designed that way to prevent the player drops the key and lost it accidentally. It's for convenince to prevent backtracking and softlocks.

I'm pretty sure that key is needed, I never found any key in the game that's useless.

You can drop items you carry in your mouth, OP's talking about a key

It's not useless, per say, but it isn't needed after you beat Tobi. Luckily, once I crossed over to an area with a Origin Mirror, it got rid of the key for me. In the PS2 and Wii copies of the game, it never let you hold onto an item past the time it was needed. I can't say for certain but I feel the PS3 version didn't allow you to as well.


And to any of the people I may have confused, Marcuzes was right. I meant items you carry in your mouth.

It was, for when you were racing against Tobi, and you needed to use the lightning-based paths in order to continue the race properly.

After you beat Tobi, it shouldn't have let me continue walking around with it.

I know what you mean. Like in Oni island, you drop down that hole using the electric key, then take the arrow key, use it with the demonic lock and then you magically have the electic key in your mouth. But it's not such a big deal.

I was getting frustrated because of Blockhead. Ugh, I really do hate those things. And that is a really annoying glitch after a while.

I'm not sure if you are mad about two things or the item thing and blockhead are related xD. Can you clear that up?

They were to seperate things, but happening at the same time.
