This game is dead

I am considering this game dead. No major updates, devs only post minor, insignificant improvements every other month or so. No Trike being released in the near future. After YEARS of patiently waiting , we are no closer to anything new than at the beginning of 2019.

If any devs read this, give us SOME idea of ANYTHING important being released this year. Give us some hope.

That's because Isle and Saurain are massively different games.

Isle isn't trying to be accurate, so i'ts not going to take nearly as long to develop it. Just throw out a scaly raptor and an attack and a few calls and call it a day.

Who would've thought a game that isn't trying t obe accurate would be faster to develop than a game that is trying to be.

And of people would join the discord and actually read the discord instead of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on steam all the damn time, you'd see where Trike is at

Except this game will never be finished if they're going for 100% accuracy. Cause those facts they're basing Saurian on can be changed at any point.

Let's say there's a new discovery that changes how we look at Trike. Will the devs have to scrap everything and redo it AGAIN, or will they forgo their "muh accuracy" and just finish their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game?


My guess is on the former, seeing their track record so far.

Most of the dinosaurs will get one rework and that's it, whatevver comes up after that will be up to someone else and their project.

Even if it's not keeping up with every new discovery, it's still gonna be a hell of a lot more accurate than the sea of JP rejects, wannabes and knock offs we got now.

See, I'll take JP stuff if it means the game is actually in a playable state and is fun. Let alone complete.

Saurian is hardly the former, and definitely not the latter.

I think we can agree on the fact that there will always be 2 very conflicting views on this game and tbh dragging it on is just going nowhere. I personally feel the game is dead (certainly stagnant), along with many others, due to incredibly slow game development (3 years for a 2nd playable dino), but you clearly feel the opposite. These points get brought up every single time someone asks about the game being dead and it's a never ending circle.

The game is definitely dead, the community is non-existent and they're gonna delay updates for a few more months until they drop the project completely.
Go play something else, guys.

Besides, even if it were dead, there's no other game that would appeal to people like me. What am i gunna go play, The closest thing to an accurate dinosaur game out there is Path of Titans. And that game is still set o nsome made up island wit ha bunch of random dinosaurs living together.

Then you're better off just waiting. Expecting this to come back around at this point is naive at best.

Just because it fills a niche, doesn't mean this game isn't dead or worth playing. Sure, other games don't have "muh realism" but at least they have devs that actually care about their game.


This is a dead product. Just because you're desperate for a "realism" dinosaur game, doesn't mean this game is still worth any money whatsoever.

Doesn't sound like anybody here has been on the discord, the devs and mods have been hosting streams and answering questions and addressing concerns.

But all anyone want to do here is talk about how people are being scammed and that the devs only care about plants.

So have they answered the major concern on when this game will actually get more updates?

Like, just maybe, the SECOND playable dinosaur? it's been YEARS and we still dont' even have that.

Even if other devs aren't scummy asshat people scamming customers, which the Saurian devs aren't despite how much people hate how slow it is.

But there is more to Dinosaurs than leeching off of jurassic park, aliens, human interaction, mysterious islands blocked fro mankind.

It's a shame that dinosaurs are a minority in their own genre.

Well when there's a game that's not trying to turn dinosaurs into annoying movie tropes. It's gonna take some damn time.

Iirc, one of the devs said they've been bug testing for the entire month when devlogs were absennt. Now that they didn't have to consentrate on finding interesting things to blog about. And they said that while we shouldn't get our hopes up We could be looking at a month or two at least.

But just because it's not ready, doesn't mean the game isn't abandoned, and that the people working on it, aren't working hard on it.
