Operation Death Engine bugged / softlocked

I've been stuck on the last mission for ages and finally looked up how it's meant to be done. Watching a video, two things are different:

1. The glass of the spaceship never gets a hole at the start
2. The radioactive boxes you're meant to catch with the arm are never thrown

I can't complete the mission. The first time I played I did get the hole in the glass but never again since. I assume this is a bug and the game save is softlocked.

Has anyone experienced this?
Can I somehow reset just the final level state?
If all else fails, how can I clear my saves and start again?

I don't want to have to redo all the levels especially if the same thing just happens again.

Hi Der, I had exactly the same problem.

Go to game properties (in Steam) > Betas > select "Compatibility beta" or similar. It won't harm to verify integrity of game files as well. Hope it will help!
