I'm using the Quest 2 and have to use both hands to pull things to me. Not sure if this is by design or not. The tutorial wasn't very clear. Basically pull it as far as you can with one hand and then grab with the other and pull the rest of the way to you.
Same problem, impossible to push the object
Same. Unable to progress past the tutorial due to not being able to pull the target from the door to the table. Game seems to think I have a touch pad.

I have had this same problem (Q2 here), but I think I've found a workaround. when I start the game from within a vr environment, I *always* get the Vive controllers, but when I pull the headset off and then **start the game with my mouse from my desktop** , I see the choice of Vive mode or Oculus mode in a dialog box in steam, on my desktop.

Then I put the headset on and I see the calibration option with the oculus joystick. If I pick Oculus mode suddenly the controls work like I expect them to. If anyone knows a way to force steam to always choose oculus, I'd love to know.

If you are using Virtual Desktop then what worked for me was setting the FPS to 90 in the Virtual Desktop streaming menu in the headset. Strange, I know.

i found out the prob. if you do a custom binding by making your own or activating someone elses it makes the hover button b. but telekenisis is still ♥♥♥♥♥♥. you can get through a lot of the game without problems tho.

Greetings, Agents!
A quick update regarding this issue. A new compatibility beta has been implemented to provide improved support, including (unofficial) support for Virtual Desktop streaming. We've also implemented our public beta with improved Index support into the main release.

Please give the updated main game a try, and if you still have trouble - enroll in the new beta to see if your issue is resolved! As always, please let us know if you continue to have issues even after this.

Stay sharp.

Hi,

Not sure if this is the same issue as outlined in this thread but I've lost the ability to look control (telekinesis) since yesterdays update.

In my Library the game is listed as "I expect you to die [compatability]" which I don't recall being the case before the update and also my controller binding now say IEYTD [TESTING].

Is this normal. Basically I don't have a circle that follows the head around to select objects and the thumb pad does nothing. Everything was fine yesterday BTW.

I have Index.

Any help appreciated.

The beta version fixed the Reverb G2 controller issue for me. All good now.

OK, figured it out. Hope this is helpful for anyone else who has had trouble with Index and recent update....

Basically I hadn't realised that buttons for picking up an object and telekenesis have changed. In the past the reticle followed the head movement and you touched the thumb pad to 'pick up' the item and used the thumbpad to bring it closer/further away. That has now changed...

No reticle until you push the thumbstick forward, when over an object hit the trigger to grab and then thumbstick to bring forward/backward. Release pressure on handgrip to drop.

Sorry I must have been a bit dim on this one, but I'm sure I wont be the only one to make the mistake.

cheers

I had the issue with my controllers being confused with the Vive ones, not being able to use telekinesis properly. Tried this solution today and worked like a charm for me, playing on Oculus Quest 2 with Virtual Desktop (wirelessly). I did both update to the beta and set the launching parameters. Thank you!
