Well wouldn't you know it: The old restart-the-computer trick worked. You win again Tech Support.
For the record, I was able to load and play the Death Engine mission on the first day, it's only when I came back the next day that I started having this issue. I've restarted VR and the computer a number of times, and all other VR apps are unaffected.
I could play without problems before the new stage was released
I do happen to have a Steam Link. Would be an odd one but I actually may have been using it earlier that day... I will try today with the Link for sure off. But I'd be more apt to blame the game update.
Edit: No luck still no sound. And I've reinstalled again. And restarted a plenty since my original post too. Ah well.
If the devs are reading; 2600x, Vega64, WMR if that information matters/helps. No sound since the last update. All other games (VR or otherwise) and all applications have working sound.
Some players are stating that a simple PC restart addressed the issue and others have had success disabling their Steam Link device.
We are working directly with a few affected players and will update with any relevant information ASAP.
Thank you for your patience and support

For the record, I am not using Steamlink.
