So just not checking the "infinity mode" checkbox should be enough, but again, this is the PC version, no idea if it's the same on ps4.
i tried to do it last night and because i was forced to infinity, the tutorial was literally impossible (without carry over gear) but like, i just wanna enjoy the game the intended way but with the NG+ only content. (i used a online clear save)
Wonder if that's a bug affecting all ps4 users or if the clear save can somehow be broken in a way that messes it up? I'm afraid I don't really have any good suggestions on what to do about it.
Btw, intended way to play it is to clear it first yourself then start new game+ ^.~ Or they'd give you access to all new game+ things on the first run.
i don't play games through twice, like, ever. if i had to replay every single tales game, to get all its NG+ only content, or play star ocean games 3~4 times each to unlock all content, and beating every single game 2~5 times that have 'beat the game unlocks' i'd be dead before beating even 20% of my total game list. don't get me wrong, i can respect a game wanting replayability, but forced replayability is just not reasonable. a good marketing thing, sure, but bad for consumers. i can decide how i want to play my own video games damn it! >:( if i want to play max difficulty, or experience a NG+ only playable character, or enjoy a cool dungeon, why the hell do game devs think this needs to be earned. all i do is deduct points off of final game scores every time i see this garbage.
also, why does this game not have proper forums. all the sites are for the origonal and not the remake except for steam. i wonder if the origonal had this. :(
It also depends on the game. For example, if the new playable character in new game+ was someone super mysterious with his secrets unlocked in last chapter playing as him from the start will spoil a lot or max difficulty can be tuned for max-leveled and overgeared characters, like Infinity here - it's actually not harder, just numbers will be bigger.
Dunno about forums. They exist but not very active. Have that feeling of good game which isn't fun to speak of because half of the ppl have played Japan/Vita version years ago.
Regardless there's a patch coming for PS4 that should fix that and other things.
