I didn't see anything bad about the game. It's still a good game from Falcom. Localization and translation is a different story though. If you don't know japanese you probably won't even notice it.

Combat feels similar to but a bit more awkward than Ys 8. Storytelling feels like Cold Steel. Liking it pretty well though only a couple hours in.

It's not horrible, but it's really... not good. Tropes for days, the dialog feels so jarringly awkward at times with whoever translated it adding in really strange dialects at times (The main character commenting about "feels". Also, there is a constant use of quotation marks over words. I do mean constant). It tries to dramatize things that are just... just completely irrelevant (Idols, COMPUTER HACKER KID ZOMG). Once again, Highschoolers are the ones doing everything despite entire ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ organizations that have been doing things... I don't like the story, one bit. Only really like 1 character too, sadly you don't get him for a good amount of time.

Now I know what you're thinking, "Surely the combat must still be alright! It's an action based Falcom game!" Well... Yes and no. Once again, it's SLOW. I'll repeat that. It's a SLOW action game. It's just... barely passable as a whole. The element system needs extreme work as it really wants multiple tries on a dungeon but I can't be bothered for that.

EDIT: I will admit the music is pretty damn good, par for the course for Falcom games. They're catchy, and the dungeon/fight themes are pumping and great.
