How long is this really?
This looks interesting no doubt. But I'm wondering just how long it is? Most of the reviews on steam are from people that got the game for free or in pre-release. For some weird reason, they all seem to have 20+ hours in the game, and standard reviews have only 1-3.

The game has the "small game" tag. so it is less than 5 hours I guess.

There are 4 big bosses and 20 minibosses. The minibosses give you powerups.

You can kill the 4 bosses at any point. You have to take down the first big 3 then you can take down the 4th.

5 hours is probably about right, from start to finish for the average player - someone learns the movement system, gets 5-10 power ups and then takes down all the bosses.

Lots of the reviews with 10+ hours are from beta players - people who had access to this game before Sept. 21. Anyone else who posts a review will only have a couple hours, tops because the game came out today.

If you went for all the powerups, I could see it taking 10 hours. It's a big map. It's very easy to get distracted and just have fun. There is next to no direction in the game, and It's kinda nice.

for now, I only have taken down 3 minibosses as I can't reach the big flying worm thingy, I figured that I might need these powerups.

Also there are three tower (I think) with their parabolic cannon always facing the big worm.

If I take what you said about the 3 bosses into account, I think that these 3 tower are somewhat linked to the 3 boss I have to beat in order to reach the 4 boss (the worm ?)

I managed to go into one of the tower but did not explore it much further. All i can say that the place inside is damn huge and might house one of the 3 bosses.

knowing that and if I am right, this would take a little bit more than 5 hours if I don't take the powerups.

The problem with the question is that you have to assume there's a beginning and end to it. IF your end is with the defeat of the last boss, and getting all the powerups, so far I haven't been able to get it done in less than 4 hours (most people will take 10 or more). But once all that's done - it's just flying around, which is INCREDIBLY fun to do. Some people like to go swimming. I like to play Jet Island - and yes, I'll reset the bosses and do them over and over again. The experience is EASILY repeatable, and incredibly fun to do.
So defeating the bosses and collecting all the powerups? around 10-15 hours. The amount of time you'll spend playing the game and having fun doing all the weird things you can do in it? That's up to you, but I've logged around 50 hours in this and Oculus combined, and likely will put as many more hours into it.

OH, and the developer's adding a new game plus mode.
