Is the Dragon Baller achievement broken?

Dragon Baller
Synthesize all Dragon Stone weapons.

I just did this and got nothing
I also bought all items at Zanzibar's store a while back and got nothing, but the dragon weapons thing kinda bumms me out because I crafted every one of them.

I'm not a trophy or achievement hunter but it is nice to get them when I actually accomplish something that warrants one in games :)

For the Zanzibar one perhaps you had one of the shop items already and not bought it (i.e. the Light item that brighten the cave for example), yet you need to buy it again for it to count.

For the Dragon Stone weapons, by crafting every one of them means you got them all for every character right? That Includes Dogi and Geis weapons, not just the other 5 only.

yeah I crafted every dragon weapon, there were no more stones left.
I just beat the game and am watching the final cutscene now so I guess that achievement is gone now
I don't have a save from before i crafted them
oh well

Well if you had not beaten the game on Nightmare then you still have second chance of doing it. Otherwise you can go for a quick Easy run to get it (you can skip thing faster by holding cancel button). Oh and make sure to save very often this time then, and it is always the rule for Falcom games (they didn't give you a ton of empty save spaces for nothing lol).

About the dragon weapons achievement, are you sure you get Geis and Dogi weapons as well? Because theirs needn't the dragon stones (they are not affiliated with the dragons anyway), they're just usual synthesises, so check again.

Oh I thought you only had to craft dragon stone weapons

As for nightmare mode, nah im moving onto IX on PS4 now
I just bought and replayed VII because i wanted to refresh my memory, i finished it like a decade ago on PSP

Got Zanzibar, you were right I was indeed missing the light stone
for Dogi and Geis I have everything for everyone from the Iskan workshop, I might try other synth places see if they offer anything different.

Yeah, you can also check synthesis list via book item to see if every one's weapon is really the final or not, making it easier to narrow down the possible missing one.

Other than that, I thought you were waiting for PC ver of IX thus still got enough time for another Seven run, but having fun with IX on PS4 then! Just make sure to save very often into newer slot so that you can easily undo the mistakes, or for achievement triggers xD.

I have IX on PS4 physical so Imma play it on that, I played VIII on Switch because that's what I have the physical version on. I don't replay JRPGs right after I've finished them or any kind of big game for that matter. I'm good with Seven now, moved onto IX and it's awesome already :)
