IRACING BRAKE STUCK ON!!!!
Hello guys i have a very very strange thing happening with my Iracing. I can only currently use the 305, 360 and 410 dirt sprint cars. Whenever i try to use a road car, dirt street stock, nascar or any other car other than the sprint cars what happens is my car just sits in the pit area with the brake stuck on. I am not pressing the brake but the brake is fulling engaged? I have a thrust master TMX force feedback wheel with the 2 pedal system. What am I missing here? I even tried to just use a controller and the same thing happened? Is there a button I should be pushing to get me out of the pits? when I use the dirt sprint cars all I have to do is hit the gas pedal and I am out of the pits, but every other car just sits stuck. Please help.

How is this related to OVRdrop? Does it only occur when you launch OVRdrop? Could you try launching OVRdrop with the flag -show-screen-selector and delete any Controller entries under Input? Otherwise I have no idea why or how this is happening, and it may actually be an iRacing or potentially a Unity issue.

After rereading your initial post several times, I am quite certain you meant to post this on iRacing’s community forums and not OVRdrop’s. No worries! No harm done if so — but please let me know if that is not the case.

Have you tried holding the brake pedal down to check for inversion? Some games require you to hold the brake and gas simultaneously to start, though I’m not aware of any games that do this with actual pedals (but with a gamepad). Could you check the game’s control settings for any mention of a brake, such as a Parking Brake, Hand Brake, or Emergency Brake key? These might be “engaged” by default since that’s the “proper” way to park a vehicle (and there may be some rules/laws regarding their usage which iRacing is replicating), and the starter vehicles may not be equipped with these at all so you aren’t having issues.

I don’t play iRacing so unfortunately I can’t really say. You’ll probably get more help somewhere else — it’s mostly just me here, answering support issues regarding OVRdrop; not that much other discussion here.

Edit: It may also be useful to check for any kind of “Start Engine”/“Start Car” Hotkey. If you’re hearing engine sounds then maybe not so much.

Also this probably goes without asking, but, you’re shifting out of neutral, right? Assuming it’s not an automatic that is.
