SBS 3D Squished?
Just saw that you can watch SBS 3D video, which is f'ing awesome! But the issue is it doesn't stretch it back out properly, making the frame way too tall. When you watch a SBS movie it's basically anamorphic and needs the aspect ratio stretched so it looks correct.

Actually I just realized it's in fact doubling the height of the frame so it's WAY screwed up.

I don't see a setting for this an am not sure what to try - thoughts? Am I missing something simple?

EDIT: Also a hot key to enable/disable SBS would be really nice too ;-)

Thanks for the suggestion. Normally for 3D SBS, the video has been encoded to a smaller aspect ration, for example 16:9. In this case, you need to tell the video player to double the width, for example, 32:9. I have instructions for VLC on OVRdrop's FAQ[github.com]. I will look into doing this artificially inside OVRdrop, which would make it a bit easier to handle.

Yes, please this. I was able to get VLC setup correctly to play in 32:9 and while it works great I can't easily switch back and forth between the video and say a webpage. Ideally there would be a hotkey to turn on SBS and that would also switch to 32:9 mode, so that I could be watching a 3D movie then with a button press switch back to standard so I could reference something in the browser the bazinga, back to 3D.

BTW I've just gotta add that watching a 3D movie while playing Elite is f@cking AMAZING. I'm a big fan of 3D inside VR given how great the experience is, adding that into a gaming session is totally next level. I've been grinding out credits in Elite while watching a few movies this way in my HP Reverb (where the resolution is so high the clarity is amazing) and the experience is totally next-gen and "feels" very futuristic. Just need to make it easier to toggle things on/off so I don't have to break immersion when I need a standard browser.
