Theres obviously going to be a very very tiny online community, even if it was cross play it's going to be "dead" in 1 week Tops. You are buying this for the nostalgia factor and for single player basically, the only game thats going to actually have players online is third strike anyway.

Not just third strike, i can assure you there a lot of people like myself who would like to play some sf2t here on steam competitively.

People still think crossplay is easy to implement and have zero finanical upkeep required.

Not on the Switch, at least. People still buy it because it's 'new' and it's getting popular.

500 bucks says it will die earlier on the platform console and pc. This is the type of game with handheld on mind

PS4 and Xbone. The switch is a casual wifi warrior system that brings only lag to the table.

how many people have their Ps4 or XB1 on Wifi? I would bet the large majority, switch handles wifi very well and Ultra SF2 is still alive and kicking online on the switch, it has fantastic netcode as well.

And they would still be a drop in the bucket compared to people on switch wifi.

I bet over 90% of XB and PS4 are on wifi, I dont see many parents running dedicated hard lines to their kids upstairs bedrooms. The people that play online more competitavely will hard wire, but the same goes for the switch, the hard line adapters still arent the easiest thing to find in stores. As far as Ultra2 I played it a ton and rarely had issues. Look at any reviews, the game is solid.

You're delusional if you think there aren't significantly more people on wifi with the switch. I'd bet it's in the upper 90% of players easy just because people don't want to spend money on a LAN adapter and everyone has wifi these days. No way do the other consoles come close to it in that regard.

And the switch is easily in last place when it comes to fighting games. The hardcore players who would buy a LAN adapter for it are instead playing fighters on literally any other platform. The only reason anyone bought that overpriced, imbalanced HDR rehash on the Switch was because there was very little else to buy at the time. It's just a bad console for fighters, period.
