I know 3rd Strike runs closer to the correct arcade speed than fightcade. FC is noticeably faster for sure, which not only is less authentic, but also makes the execution a bit more difficult. Lots of respectable 3S FC players are saying this game plays better than FC and the netcode is comparable, if not better. Personally, I much prefer this over FC. But a $40 price tag if you only intend to play one game is definitely asking a lot unless you are very hardcore into that game.

I can't speak of the other games because I don't really play them seriously. I played a few matches in ST and it felt just as good as in FC, but I don't know how good the emulation for that game is.

@♥♥♥♥♥♥: you can have training mode on MAME or FB, it's not missing much comparing to Capcom release. No sure it's not even better in some aspects - I didn't play much with Capcom training mod, but can you display hurtboxes, hitboxes and throw/push boxes?

@the maker of despacito: Nope, none. I bought it and I regreat it. Mame with frontend HLSL and bezels looks and plays better in singleplayer. Fightcade plasy better in multiplayer. This is 40$ garbage with broken x-input controls and general bugfest...

For 3rd Strike, I've used both the MAME and FBA emulators quite a bit and they both have issues. The MAME one has a lot of really awesome features for getting deep into the frame data of the game, but it lacks basic training dummy recording. You're also using MAME, so it's not that great for training execution for Fightcade. The FBA training mode is the more realistic option for FC players, since it's the same emulator and has dummy recording. The problem with it is with the way it handles random blocking jump ins. It just doesn't block them. So if you're trying to hit confirm off of a jump in, it's useless. I don't remember how well the MAME training mode handles random blocking, since I didn't use it much when I was mostly playing on FC.

I definitely don't agree with anyone who says Fightcade plays better for 3rd Strike, but that may be true for the other games.

Well... it's FOR SURE true in case of Street Fighter Alpha 2...

Of course.
There is a lot of people playing online here and with better online compared to fightcade, no more waiting for someone to accept your fight request and to have a laggy match at the end.

The people saying otherwise they don't have a clue what they're talking about

You get :
-Nice menu
-Training mode
-Vs mode
-Better online
-More players
-Museum mode
-Achievements

How is 6 people more to the 400+ average players you can find daily?

I dare you to go to fightcade right now and take a screenshot showing how many players are playing super turbo or 3rd strike. I bet you've never played there before so stop with the jokes already my comedian friend.

And what do you mean wait for a patch to make them more solid?? They already giving you the games they were announced in the trailer many months back.

3rd Strike in FC has 132 players right now. 30th anniversary has 386 total, but it's not right to assume that those players are playing online. Some might be in training mode, arcade mode, or just be afk. Similarly, 34 player in fightcade are set to away, 38 are either waiting for matches or afk, and 60 are actually playing.

Honestly they both seem to have enough players for me to find matches on the west coast, so they are both good enough for me. Personally I hope the hardcore 3S PC scene does migrate to 30th and stay here because it just plays better than FC. And anyone who has been trying the FC2 beta knows things are not looking good for the future of Fightcade at the moment. I do hope the FC2 beta gets better, but I'm definitely worried about the future of 3S on fightcade.

And that's in FC1, the one that uses a years-outdated version of FBA with tons of bugs. FC2 is more or less a ghost town, even for popular games like 3rd Strike.

The multi-game lobby is a nice feature, compared to the one-game lobbies of Fightcade.

132 is a very good amount of players online, and that's not even the peak. I don't have issues getting matching in FC unless it's below 80 or so. FC2 is currently in beta and runs like crap, so not one is really bothering with it.

This game is not even a week old. Sadly, the player numbers are only going to drop for the next month or so. Fightcade has an established playerbase at this point. Its numbers have been rising for years too. The most limiting factor for the player count for Fightcade is just exposure. Can you imagine if Fightcade was on Steam? It would easily have triple the numbers. Right now 3S on FC is thriving from word of mouth alone. I think that's pretty impressive myself.

You wont force Capcom to take legal action against Fightcade?
Bahloogah Jun 3, 2018 @ 9:13am
Yeah, support the game you tight wad

Well, the fact that its better than Fightcade is true, but,....that's really not saying much, common
Let's just say this is the lesser of two evils
At the end, i dont touch Fightcade for months and i really dont miss it
The historical stuff is about 500+ pages.
