Dude, i told you, i do the regular Z motion.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nlqk0tN7PB4
yeah that's nice and all but that doesn't quite work on a KB, for exemple... and usually, even in old games, doing F,D,F does a DP... but in this collection they're not reliable at all... seems to be an issue with diagonals, since sometimes even jumping forward or back doesn't respond as it should (on a keyboard at least).
LMAO
Pro tip here : don't use keyboards for fighting games that were never designed to use one (like ST)
Use fightcade and show us the same video ... You'll see the same problem, as someone said earlier : ST is a good benchmark for execution .... your inputs are all over the place
First, thank you for your feedback. =) I know they said this is a from the arcade with no change, but it just don't seem right.
I'm not sure which part of the video you are checking for my consistancy. But for 0:11-0:27 I paused to read the input after every attempt it's very consistant (except for 1) but no DP and I just dont see a reason for it.
This video was made from cutouts of the 10 minutes in trianing mode showing the problem, I'm mostly getting random results even though the game is telling me my input is correct. I know I'm not doing it too slow either because I can do the DP motion slowly and still get random results. I have no problem doing DP in any other games in this collection as well. Hell I can even do DP insistantly in SF1.
Please explain which part of the video my input are "all over the place", and I'll take a closer look. But I'm going through 0:12-0:27 and do not see why DP weren't coming out from them (except for 1 missing a d). Like I replied to the guy who said it, If this is the ONLY game ever I have ever had trouble doing DP on, how can anyone say this is a good benchmark for execuation?
As for Fightcade, is that free? I'll check it out and provide an update if possible.
I could play perfectly fine on keyboard back in the days before SF4 and still could if I want to. It's all about preference. If anything keyboard/pad minimize error possibilities because every input is so on point, impossible to accidentaly jump, and have advantage on dashing. Some people bought Hitbox mainly because they can't use keyboard on consoles.
I played 30th collection for 2 hours offline with friends (mostly ST) before we switched to Cross Tag Battle, I don't have more trouble with DPs than I had on FightCade.
About the timeframe / inputs : yes, there's a part that "seems" ok, but could have been just you being too slow (keep in mind that ST is a faster version of SF, might wanna check SSF2 and see if you have the same problems on regular speed).
Thank for your feedback. I've litereally just downloaded fightcade and played SSF2X in ♥♥♥ for free (starting to wonder why I bother buying this), and I have no problem with DP. It plays well just like any SF like I expect it to be. I'm playing on the original SF4 TE first edition stick btw not sure if this infomation helps, I just dont understand why Im having trouble doing DP in "this" version of the game.
