Parrying Chun-Li's Super is 7 or 8?

If you watch EVO Moment 37, you will see that Daigo parry the first 7 hits, then the next 7 hits, then the jump parry.

In Maximilian Dood video where he tries the Daigo parry, he mentions, "Oh it's 7 hits, I thought it was 8."
