How much single-player content is there?
The game is on sale for $9, which seems like a good deal, but before I do so I would like to know what the offline content is like. Also, how is the netcode?

I am coming off Virtua Fighter 5 which was barebones on release and has bad netcode, so I would like to avoid these problems.

BlazBlue is one of the best fighting game series if you're looking for singleplayer content. Lots of singleplayer modes (including three different arcade modes for most characters in this one!), though many people seem to prefer Chronophantasma Extend for its Abyss Mode. Your mileage may vary with the (long) story mode since this is the last entry in the series (and it can already be confusing when you already played the previous games) plus it doesn't always have a lot of fights.

And it has really good rollback netcode if you want to play online, too.

Thank you for this post.

You're welcome! If you like this one and want even more singleplayer content, I'd recommend grabbing the full series (these games' story modes are pretty long, but be warned that the first three games' PC ports can have issues), older Guilty Gear games (GGX2#R and GGXXAC+R in particular have a strong replay value, though GGXrd Rev 2 is pretty decent as well, plus both AC+R and Rev 2 have rollback now), Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[cl-r] (and UNI 2, but the first game has a long story mode), Granblue Fantasy Versus (or Rising depending on whether you like the RPG-like progression or not, plus the latter has rollback too)...

Highly recommend picking it up! I just bought it too and its fantastic! Join the community discord if you want to find games. Tons of great characters and mechanics to really sink your teeth into for a fighting game
Blazblue is basically a VN with a very good fighting game included. It probably has the most extensive story mode of any fighting game ever created. But it can be very confusing to follow and you'll need to play the entire series to understand what's going on. In addition to reading a bunch of lore that wasn't included in the games for some of the backstory.

I don't know if they run the sales anymore but several years ago you could pick up all the PC ports at the same time for less than $20 IIRC. When I first bought the PC port of CF that sale was going on. Although some of the early ports (mainly the first game) aren't that great they're playable. You can usually pick up these games for cheap on disc as well if you have PS3/PS4.

Is there a link for the community discord?
I've played a little bit with friends and messed around in arcade/training/combo trails but would be interested in trying to learn the game or messing around with some folk

Characters that have caught my eye have been Es, Jin, Bullet and Naoto
