What is drive button

Hello I am expert Blazblue player atlthough I am missing one thing, what is purpose of D "drive" button? What does "drive" even mean? Please help thank you.

Think of it as a 'unique attack' button. A, B, C are normals (light, medium, heavy) and even though they look different between characters, they mostly function in the same way. D button meanwhile has a special property and changes drastically between characters. For example, Susanoo would unlock or level up a seal if he uses the D buttons, while Es will place a time bomb on the screen, and Ragna would steal opponent's life, etc. Basically you can say the Drive button defines the character in terms of gameplay and makes him/her unique. It's in the name no? You press it and you drive. Be careful to have a licence though or else you could crash into your health bar.
Your other buttons are A, B, and C while we are at it, these stand for (A)ccelerate, (B)reak and (C)urve obviously. If you Press all these buttons together you enter Overdrive. While in Overdrive you must be aware that without a licence your buttons will now change to (A)ccident, (B)reakdown and (C)rash while your drive button will also change to Demolition so remember to never enter drive without a licence. Also make sure to never enter Overdrive while being hit by another, you will explode which could hurt someone.
