Will centralfication extend have english voice acting?
My absolute favourite thing of blazblue for the past 15 years or so has been the amazing VA cast, I loved just playing through the stories in each and hearing the characters communicate..

This game is very disappointing without them.

1. It is quite likely there will not be an extend version. Series creator and former producer Toshimichi Mori has stated that.

2. There will be no english dub. Period.

that's terrible to hear, thank you both.

Unfortunately no. However there is a mod that gives the returning cast from Chronophantasma their English voices from that game, and there are some mods that give the newcomers their lines from Cross Tag Battle (aside from the characters who weren't in that game of course).

No.

Sick of seeing this thread pop up every day for years.

The reason there isn't an English dub of this game is 100% the fault of the English voice actors guild. They decided to go on strike around the time this game was being produced. Several Japanese companies called their bluff and released their games without English dubs as a result. This game will NEVER be dubbed and the vast majority of the people playing it do not care.

I don't know if you're aware of this but a lot of content over the years didn't get dubbed into English because of the actor's guild. Basically, you can't hire voice actors outside of their guild legally. They've even been responsible for getting several fan dubbed projects taken down over the years. These are not nice people and they are not hurting for money. The reason why nearly every anime dubbed into English has same handful of VAs is because no one else is allowed to dub anime legally.

My advice to you it to learn Japanese. With a couple of months of study you could understand most of whats being said in-game and in most anime without subtitles or relying on what is frankly lazy voice acting in the majority of dubbed works.

I'm sick of seeing this rehashed. When this game originally came out the VAs were throwing a ♥♥♥♥ fit on social media in the hopes of getting the Japanese companies to meet their demands for more pay. Frankly, the voice acting work they do is not very hard work and they're already paid a pretty good wage for it. I'd be more than happy to work at those rates especially when they get a monopoly on it. They claim they're overworked but they wouldn't be if they'd allow more people to do dub voice acting.

Anyway, now you know why every anime has the same cast for the dubbed work for the most part. A few of them have no range at all. Hence why the main characters in dubbed anime all sound the same.

Learn Japanese. It'll open up an entire new world of content for you.

no thanks. I'll just replay up to chronophantasma again. I like hearing their voices. :)
Busy learning hebrew already. and your passive-aggressiveness makes me want to check back and ask this question every week.

I'm not being passive aggressive I'm just being honest. It's their fault the game didn't get dubbed and they've used to fan base in their goal to get back at the smaller japanese companies that frankly can't afford to shell out more for an English VA cast than they do for native speakers.

The lack of dub never bothered me even when I couldn't speak Japanese. Japanese isn't very hard to learn as far as listening goes. Anyone can get up to speed in about a week to watch most anime and read children's manga. The "88 weeks to become fluent" nonsense is mostly because of Kanji. You don't have to know thousands of Kanji to understand 99% of the content out there.

All I'm saying is you can put in a little study (maybe 3 hours a week for a month) and would no longer need an English dub to follow the plot. You're robbing yourself of mountains of content by waiting on someone to dub it. The vast majority of content will never be dubbed or subtitled. Especially if you get into doujinshi.

If you can speak and write English basic Japanese should be no problem as it's a much simpler language. For example, Kana is much easier to grasp than the latin alphabet because there aren't different pronunciations for the same character. I learned kana in 2 days when I was first starting to study the language. Hell I knew about 1,000 Kanji after a couple of months. Back then I didn't have the benefit of the internet either.

There was a meager attempt to mod the English VA from the older games into this one. I'm not sure how complete it is. But if you care about the story you might as well just use subtitles. Holding out hope for an official dub is madness. We're very lucky we got a netcode update and that didn't go beyond PC and it only happened because fans of the game made the improvement mod.

Watch the anime I guess.

I swear everyone that started using discussion forums after about 2016 are carbon copies of each other.

The above link is the mod that patches in English voices. Although since you seem to lack the ability to read anything beyond a few words I doubt you'll figure out how to install it.

There is also DarkSage's mod that do a lot more than previous link (you can find him on YouTube and he has a decent Discord server)

As for the VA's "dispute" - I call a lot of bull on that one. Since the Patric Seitz's guys in the same year with CF's release were working on some Nintendo games (Couldnt care less about those, bruh, playing RPGs in modern years ugh) and they did a pretty good job at that.
The main reason for Revelator and CF having no dub - ASW were struggling with their budget and decided to save up on dubbing - without asking the opinion of actors or the players - thats pretty much it.

I've been there Gandalf, it was 10000 years ago...still remember the petition war.

Long story short, ASW got the message so since then every game is having dub again. But not those two because - not important anymore.

The game wasn't dubbed due to the 2016 strike: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016%E2%80%932017_video_game_voice_actor_strike

If you read your own link if you would know it says that strike was against 11 specific publishers/studios, none of which are arcsys.

The know-it-all generation is so annoying. Just because arcsys wasn't named in the link doesn't mean the voice actors flat out refused to dub the game because they were holding out for more pay. This isn't some secret. They started an entire hate campaign on social media attempting to shame these companies and exploit them for more money. They wanted to get paid more for dub work than native voice actors (seiyuus) in Japan.

Again; If you want to blame someone for this game not being dubbed into English blame the voice actors.
