Which the resaon they gave us his counter part which is Naoto Kurogane.
The other character would be Mai.
Ragna, Jin, Es are traditional baseline characters and while they all have 'hard' things to learn down the line, you can do well with any of them on a basic level.
Hibiki is also pretty straight forward and light on execution requirements but can be awkward for some players due to the way his buttons are set up (pushing B once does a move, pushing B again does a followup etc).
Celica is a decent beginner choice if you can get past her somewhat awkward-to-use buttons (several are multi-hitting moves depending on you holding the button for the duration, others have funky ranges or hitboxes compared to the above characters). Just avoid relying on her Drive to do everything for you (don't become a D-spam celica).
Tsubaki is the last character I would recommend to a beginner as she has both the characteristics of Hibiki's and Celica's buttons (awkward to use, buttons have followups) plus she has some meter management elements (in addition to the basic super meter).
Other popular suggestions like Noel, Terumi and Azrael I would avoid starting out as, even though their not 'hard' in a combo sense, they have significant character flaws that can be difficult to work around (All characters struggle in the neutral game against decent players) and can build really bad habits in a player (Noel Drive spam, Terumi 6C spam, Azrael gustav spam).
Lastly, if you really want to learn a certain character that no one's suggested thats fine and I'd encourage you to go with that character. Enjoying the character themselves is a great way to keep yourself motivated while learning and any character can teach you how to play (For example, I learned with Izayoi), just be aware that the road to becoming 'decent' may be longer.
But part that I quote is just golden.
Ragna, Jin, Noel for the BnB's of the game
Mai, Hibiki, Celica, Es, Bullet, Terumi, etc to gain experience on netcode matches, some of these have a difficulty similar to "easy to learn, hard to master" as most characters and If you like them you'll probably end up getting even better. I'd say try every single character and see how their moves work on training mode, when you find one you feel comfortable with start playing online and its respective challenges.
edit: and If you want to go more in depth about a certain character, you can always check the blazblue discord which has a link for each character's specific discord
