(Nintendo switch) English sub question

So i've been a big fan of the Nintendo switch version of this game so far but i've noticed that each and everytime you enter a battle Both of the characters speak japanese before fightning each other and it sounds like it would be interesting to understand what they actually are saying

I'm not a native japanese person and i have a hard time understanding japanese without having subs there to support me Don't get me wrong i'm absolutely fine with the characters speaking japanese while they are fightning it's just the beginning speech of each battle that bothers me

So i was curious if there would be a possibility to add a english subs at the beginning speech of each battle I'm not expecting much and i'm just curious if this would be possible or not.

(Do note if this thread turns into a flame war or people start trolling or can't even discuss this topic in a mature way i will give up on this thread and will request this thread to be locked down)

Unfortunately, much as I agree with the sentiment, I don't think this is likely to happen. This game is two years old now and those in charge appear to have abandoned it completely. Plus, as far as I know, this phenomenon happens not only in every version of CF, but also in other subtitled fighting games - even those that weren't made by this particular group of people.

TL;DR: Wish, but don't hope.

Alrighty guess all i can do is wait for some patch or something to happen on the Switch version of this game.

Well, I suppose it's hypothetically possible to go through every matchup, write down what it sounds like they're saying, and run the results through a translator... This seems like a long and very confusing thing to do, especially without the aid of a recording system, but I have been curious myself, so I just might try it for a match or two if I ever feel like wasting hours.

On the upside, this game has seen some modding in the past, so maybe if you pester enough people you'll eventually see results. It won't be official. It might not even be available on your platform. But I'm sure it could happen, given time and dedication.

Sounds unlikely on Switch, but the PC version *might* be moddable. The downsides being having to translate voice lines and somehow manage to hack the corresponding subtitles in. I'm no expert, but the latter part seems rather difficult.

Yea that sounds just about right But according to my own experience i don't go well with fightning games on the PC so that won't be a thing sadly.

Arc System works was too lazy to dub this game. And they completely ignored fans making a petition to add in an English Voice pack as DLC. WHY DON'T YOU LOVE US, ARC SYSTEM WORKS!?!?

There´s already an english mod on PC (mostly recycled lines from BBCP) but it seems unlikely for switch since official support is not happening. On the (kinda) bright side, they might be working on the next main BB so maybe that´s why they forgot this game.

An english dub for the Nintendo switch would be impossible at this point in time An english sub however that's something that they should be able to do.
