Opinions on Susanoo and his position in the tier list?
Honestly I've heard a lot of negative feedback about him before I got the game but after playing a bit with him I feel like he's a strong netplay character but might not so good in offline play because of his massive gaps between hits and such.

Is that really the case?

In addition I've heard that a lot of people dislike playing against Susanoo because how much damage he does with little skill required. But seeing what good Izanami or Nine player do is nothing in comparison.

The few times I managed to play against Susano'o, I've also felt that he can make great amounts of damage with relatively easy combos. However, Susano'o is not that unsufferable. Unless his user decides to spam 6A from the other side of the screen. It's still defeatable, of course, but rather unpleasant to.

Also, Susano'o's battle theme is 10/10.

Susan's tools are fair. His damage is not. lol,
Susanoo was a complete ass in CF1.0. Literally trash-tier together with Kagura and Noel.
CF2.0 brough some buffs, though, so saying that Susanoo is trash in this version is kinda... Dumb. He now has his proper damage. While he's still suffering from being a "snowball"-character, he now can perform MUCH better. Though some of his MUs are still horrible.

As a susanoo main here's what i think

Pros
-good overal damage. even with small combo, his damage is decent
-can do crazy damaging combo with some unlocks
-chain pressure is kind a strong
-godlike ost (yo~yo~ happy birthday)

Cons
-big hurtbox even when crouching
-require unlock to do some good combos
-very momentum. when you have no unlock and the opponent has the upper hand, most of the time you'll be dead
-bad mixup game even with unlock
-dash has a startup window (cant microdash). so throw setup is not as flexible as other character

I just wish arcsys give him a little bit more mixup option in the future

He's a much better character when played online with some kind of delay, his spot in tier lists is based on offline play where blocking his mixup is a breeze.

Personally I love the fact that you have to unlock more special moves in order to get stronger and have better tools. Even though its a handicap, its fun to get rid of it.

His buttons are really great for poking and starting combos, 5C j.B are super good.

Overall I love playing as Sus, since hazama got hit pretty hard and terumi changes are very questionable to me, especially that his 236D hitbox can't pick up people from the air easily anymore.

Im kinda worried that they'll nerf his damage into the dumpster again.

like Hakumen, both character surpress their power because they were literal God. and, if they dont the story will be over way back in BBcs probably

Hakumen is not limiting his powers. He had his powers at 20% of its full capacity after Kokonoe salvaged him from the Boundary.
About Susano'o, he isn't limiting his powers neither. In the main story he is as powerful as he should be, but he is forced to leave the Susano'o Unit because Ragna used his Soul Eater on him.

That is if I recall correctly. We all know how crazy BlazBlue story is.
