Did this one have English dub?

I remember reading about it and bunch of people got rightfully mad, not to mention dem voice actors.
I liked dem voices in previous games. I was kinda thinking of buying this, but don't care Japanese voice acting and considering how dialogue heavy these things are...

The real reason there is no English dub is because there was a voice actors strike going on during the time of development. The game is still worth playing though and is getting a new character soon along with a balance patch.

I just can't bring myself to buy it. I love the English cast too much to even bother with the original Japanese actors.

I mean, would they at least consider doing some late-life DLC for a dub? I'd buy it then.

The pinned thread mentioning perma-banning people says it was posted by a developer. And isn't the whole argument about the dub for this game talking about how the option isn't there? It isn't really about how it's good or bad at all (of course, if you actually liked the dub, you'll definitely be disappointed about the lack of an English dub).

And what do you mean, "That's why the Best Solution is to Keep it for yourself"? Because if you mean, "keep it to yourself", that sounds like a pretty stupid suggestion; why shouldn't someone talk about something they don't like about the game? Why should it matter if it'll cause a fuss, it's still a discussion.

The problem was that there was a ridiculous amount of threads about the lack of a dub, and almost, if not every, thread about it turned into a negative thread that needed locking.

At this point, there is no reason to make a thread complaining about lack of a dub, because it's already a well-known fact that a portion of the fanbase really wants a dub, and some of that portion has made it more than obvious at this point. Another person complaining about it isn't going to change much of anything.


The person who posted that thread isn't actually a developer, in that they aren't in a position to actually get much (content-wise) changed about the game (as far as I know); I think they're a staff member on the technical side of porting that happens to also communicate with the English/Steam community.

I mean there could be multiple reasons or that is why it would have taken that long to do the dub. There was definitely a voice actors strike during that time that the voice cast of this game was a part of.

I remember that guy who voices Ragna the Bloodedge founding out that "there will be no English dub" from developers Twitter account. So localization team or whatever was also kept in the dark.

I dont think Arcsys need money sooner because they already had a loyal fans.
Although making Extend is a bad idea in previous installment no one dissapointed so far with CF.

They even make another game which is Tag battle stuff.

I am sure theres another reason why english dub isnt here.

Also it might took about another 4-7gb for the voice prob higher.

Likely the same reason since many other games not made by them had the same issues during that time.
