BBCF.exe has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
I launched BlazBlue: Centralfiction after I bought it and downloaded it on Steam.
I set the game to 1920 x 1080 resolution with fullscreen mode on. I disabled V-Sync.
The game now says that "BBCF.exe has stopped working."
It crashes every time I try to play the game.
Please help me fix this problem so that I can play Centralfiction.
I'm using Windows 10 Pro with the Creators Update.

You should look for the settings file in your Documents folder and manually change the v-sync setting.

There's no settings for BlazBlue: Centralfiction in my documents folder.

Yep. I have almost same problem. looks like we cannot reset settings from docs now

Ouch. If they changed that, I have no idea about how to do that until I get the game :/

What should I do at this point? I can't play the game.

I figured out how to fix the problem.
The game still seems like it needs an update though because I have to run it in 1920 x 1080 in a window.
I'm not going to try to run it in fullscreen mode at 1920 x 1080 because of what happened last time with crashing upon startup.
If anyone wants details on what I did to get it working again, let me know.

Would love the details please! Did like you, fullscreen @1080 with v-sync off, and now black screen everytime I start the game.

Here is how the game stopped working: I set the game to: full-screen mode + 1920 x 1080 + V-Sync = Off

Here is what I did to fix Centralfiction and get it working again:
I click on Steam, then go to my game library. I right click on BlazBlue: Centralfiction and then I click on Properties.
I click on the Updates tab.
I Uncheck “Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for BlazBlue: Centralfiction.
Now, I click on the Local Files tab. I click “Browse Local Files.”
I double click on the Save folder.
I delete the two files in that folder, including the one named bbsave.dat
Now I click the close tab.
I now launch BlazBlue: Centralfiction and set the game to run in windowed mode at a resolution of 1920 x 1080. I also set V-Sync to off, but you might want V-Sync on. It’s up to you.
At this point, the game should be running fine at 1920 x 1080, but it will run in a window.

I then used an app to run BlazBlue: Centralfiction in borderless full-screen windowed mode.
I used Windowed Borderless Gaming, but you could also use the Steam app called Borderless Gaming.

Good luck and let me know if this solution solves your problem!

Thank you very much! I deleted the two files before, but now I know why it wasn't working, steam cloud! ;)

Actually did the same, but you know, it's not really fullscreen and 1080p (just look at pixels in steam overlay). And chars are on low resolution :\

To be perfectly honest with you, I wish Centralfiction had full HD support and 4K support, like some of the other fighting games I play do.
I still like the game and I still have fun playing it though.
I just wish it had those features.

It must have them. It's not some indie project and it's not year 2009 (Hello, Calamity Trigger engine). I mean, i am not looking for 3D like in Guilty Gear, but they could do something like Skullgirls has done - well drawn characters

That would mean redrawing the sprites entirely for all the characters. Not an easy task at all...

Who said it's easy. But are you agree with usind 8 y.o. technology of drawing and using same sprites whole time?

If I wanted a game that was easy to make, I would make it myself instead of paying $40 USD for it.

Full HD support and full 4K support is the least a company can do in 2017.
That said, I do still like the game and I can see its potential.
