I have noticed though that different strategies can make diffrent maps extremely easy. I tried 1 level about 5 times before looking up a strategy on the internet. beat it the first time after that. it basically consisted of rushing to take a few points, counter to what I would think normally.
It does get easier as you go on and get more units though. then after that it gets harder again.
Basically what ive found is that this game is VERY different from other FPSs ive played like SC2 or Total war.
What ive found is that there isn't a rock paper sizzors approach like 99% of FPS. its more like best positioning and use of weapons available wins.
So yeah. Ive been stuggling with this too. I would almost classify this as the Darksouls of RTS Campaigns.
Just to add though, Ive found skirmish and online multiplayer to be much easier, atleast after creating a deck.
And like in ruse, i wish when you deployed or moved your recon that you can see what its survalencing and its distance of sight... like the cargo trucks circle barley ever pops up so im kinda scattery with this game. ATM
TIP for Dabrowski's Mazurka:Evacuation - Use Profile and Reset your unlocked vehicles (don't worry, you get all command points back to redistribute the way you wish). Unlock only those vehicles that you need to evacuate for the next mission so that you can attain the "Evacuate more than 75% of your forces" achievement much more easily.
You mean RTS not FPS...Starcraft and total war are no first person shooters lol
Devs have done many things like from real world scenarios. And vehicle balance still keeps things pretty accurate. IRL soldier group with bazookas/RPG and machine guns don't easily destroy tanks anymore like WW2. More like minery, Attack helicopters and so on and on. Nowdays tanks like Leopards has auto MG wich see crawling bazooka man about 100-200m and shoots him. How do I know? I was in (PSTK) army. Tank destroyer with RPG and bazookas. My life time was like 15 seconds according our leading stuff. Only Artillery fire control has less seconds...
Now thou these days there are new weaponry to destroy tanks more easily. Direct artillery etc. Some USA stuff: http://fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/smart/index.html
Great game!
Its not fun when you have 8 tanks (hidden in a hedge) vs. two APCs in the open and the APCs knock out 3 of your tanks while your tanks take a full minute to kill them.
Started the tutorial for Dragon and instantly realized it hadnt improved. I love the idea of the game. I do not care about multiplayer at all. Just campaign
This game is the most realistic of the whole series, though. If you rather like an easier crowd pleaser try Red Dragoon.
