Wouldn't a mod for infinite lives in coop mode solve all the problem with the game's original coop mode???

I made a mod enabling continues in multiplayer. Using them should still prevent posting to the leaderboard though, so hopefully no one gets mad at me.

Hey man, do you know if this can be used on the Steam Deck? I would assume so since the OS is Linux based.

I haven't tested on other platforms. If Steam Deck runs with the Windows version it should work as is, otherwise you might need to download the Linux version of BepinEx 5 separately and add my mod to it.

I can confirm this mod is not working with the Steam Deck through any version of Proton I tested, including Proton GE. If anyone knows a workaround it would be appreciated if you shared.

I tried your mod on windows 10 but it doesn't work... extracted bepinex x86 v5.0 in the game's folder. ran the game to create the other folders in bepinex... pasted MPContinueMod.dll on Plugins folder... boot the game, chose multiplayer 2p, let the 2 characters loose all lives... game over, no continue, back to tilte screen... Am I missing anything??

I would love to use your mod. Downloaded it. Fiddled with it for an hour.
The instructions are unclear and frustrating. It doesn't work. Figured out on my own how to use this BepInEx thing.
Still, it just doesn't work.
You really appreciate help, as your mod, if it works, basically saves the entire experience of the game.

Was this on Windows or Steam Deck? On Windows you should be able to just unzip the bundle contents into the game directory. For Steam Deck, I've added an addition section to the guide.

How did you get? I extracted the bepinex_bundle.zip in the game directory, but the mod didn't work.

that's weird... I sent the bepinex_bundle.zip I have to my friend and it worked... we even played it through remote play...
