I just come here to ask the same question.

I want to play with Mouse and Keyboard,
I don't want to me forced to buy a Controller to play that game.

It is possible to aim with Mouse and move the character with Keyboard?

Same question.

Characters are either controlled with the keyboard, or with a controller. The mouse is not used.

Do we move the cursor with the Keyboard as well?

Because it's not a lightgun shooter. You move your character and your aim with the same keys/stick. Technically mouse aim is feasible, but it would need some adjustments to work.

I see this game would be too easy if we could move the aim with mouse, I can understand why it's Keyboard Only, but still seems to be stupid not be able to aim with mouse.

I'm not complaining, I'm just saying it would be a lot easier to play that kind of game aiming with the mouse.

Game isnt designed for mouse aim

Keep in mind this is a SNES game, it was never designed for the kind of control fidelity a mouse gives. Sticking that it would kind of break the game.

i played the entire thing with keyboard. Keyboard is fine.
With how the game playes a mouse would be weird and make the balance of the game too easy, mainly because it was probably designed with a slower moving aim(while also moving your character).
You could potentially make the game work with mouse only if there was a program that tied the mouse movements to the direction inputs but that would probably feel very awful as the aim only goes a set speed, theres no fast or slow aim, and moving your character would feel very off.

I want the same

Could mouse aim be added alongside a game's difficulty increase? It could be a pretty great mode in line with how great the wii version of RE4 is (although that game already had reactive difficulty as a hidden gameplay mechanic.) https://youtu.be/zFv6KAdQ5SE

That is unfortunate. I have a controller, so as long as you didn't lock it to Xbox only controlers, i'm good.

Though, i'd rather KB and Mouse for the obvious reason of percision aiming/multitask. I see the reasoning (at least by others) why this wasn't a thing...but to counter it, if Natsume can remaster/add content and make it work on new consoles/PC...there doesn't seem to be any good reason beyond time/money/wanting all versions to be the same; which i can understand.

Still...a little disappointed. :<
