Edmond first note event

I can't get Edmond's first note event to trigger. I have both of his apprentices back in town, and his first note is completely full, but no matter how many times I walk into the Beacon Town square (where the event is supposed to happen) nothing happens. Does anyone know of any hidden requirements for his note event?

I keep getting a similar problem with other villagers, i.e. Jeanne and Nova. I also currently have Tabitha on the first note queue, but she's never in her house lately. As for how to fix it, I have no clue except for waiting and continue to gift and talk.

I can't get it to trigger either. I've entered the town morning, noon, and night in rain, shine, and clouds from the farm and from the beach. It's the first summer and I finished the storyline already. Does that matter? Any one have any info on this at all??

EDIT: Also he's taking me to the firework festival so I know the note is full... both of his apprentices first note events happened no problem.

EDIT: Gabriel's first note event doesn't trigger either...

Possible fix? I just completed a request for Gabriel (his 2nd request) and then his scene triggered. Maybe you have to finish Edmond's 2nd request?

FINAL EDIT: Absolutely confirmed. If you raise someone's hearts before you do their requests, their scenes do NOT trigger until after you have completed a request from them. Just for the future... Since there is absolutely no where I could find that this info is available.
