PS4 Soleil not helping on farm when asked

I did not give her a gem but asked her to help. Not sure how she could possibly be helping me as she floats there drooling and staring off into space. Is there no way to get her to help without another controller?

-Actually as I was typing this i decided to reclick her gem and it says end multiplayer... I dont like how soleil cant help without co-op :/ Ill never have a use for her unless i try to find my other controller thats who knows where and play both.

You will always need a second controller - Soleil does not have an AI mode, and is always intended to be controlled by a human. On the PS4, this also means logging into a second PSN ID, or logging in as a guest. You do not need to, however, have two people controlling both the player and Soleil at the same time; you can put down the first controller and control Soleil if you so choose, within the vision of the main character.

Soleil has a minimum base stamina; you can hire Soleil with additional stamina by offering gems - the better the gem, the more stamina Soleil will have. I apologize for any confusion, this was a case of me misunderstanding past conversations with fellow staff, and hope this clarification is helpful :)

On the switch, if I give soleil a gem she just gets more energy, but I still need a second player.

Is there a way for her to work on her own?

Same thing seems to happen on PS4. I don't get it.

That's very disappointing. She really should have her own AI for taking care of the farm. Makes her usage nearly pointless aside from exploiting her for extra stamina, and that just sounds like a pain since she has to be in vision range of the player character.

I completely understand that, but as someone who doesn't have anyone to play local games with that makes her completely useless to me, and many other people which is why you have people trying to find her ai mode.
