mines

is there a trick to the mines? the reptiveness kills me everytime especially when it comes to finding the entrance for the next level. if anyone has figured out a trick for this or anything please help lol

Well it sure helps if you have the best Hoe, with this you can cover 15 ground squares at once to find the stairs. untill level 86 there is about 90% chance the stairs leading down will be withinh 3 squares of a wall.
With low grade tools try to aim for 5 floors a time, it saves your progress every 5 floors.
Take something to eat with you, in the beginning i used the easy to get bamboo shoots and mushrooms, later i used Great Strawberry's, all pretty cheap and easy to get and will restore 1 heart when eaten.
If you have alot of fruit trees use Great Peach this will restore 2.5 hearts if i'm correct.

Eventually when you reach the lowest levels(with the best tools) and you go mining for money, my favorite floors are floor 81 till 90.

And don't forget that the mines are pretty much divided into 3 sections, first 1 you can destroy stones with the first hammer, second section you need the first upgrade on your hammer and third the next hammer upgrade.

Which games have you played? I'm just curious because honestly all the mines have been like this in the 'rel mine' ones I've played so I'm confused.

well if you look at the mines in Harvest Moon DS, some people loved those but most people hated them, atleast they were a challenge, without any guides it took me weeks to find the cursed tools, after DS and Magical Melody the not so fun mines emerged. but thats just my opinion.

so when it comes to fertilizing if you need a plant asap and its not in season do you have to fertilize it everyday?

if it stays blue then yes you have to fertilize it everyday, some crops you can skip a day if your lucky, but if a storm strikes it's all gone, there is even a big chance when you fertilize them everyday when they are blue that a storm wipes them out anyway, some crops are a bit more fragile then others.

It's a little confusing because the crops have different sensitivitey. The general rule is if the crop bubble is blue: fertilize, but there's crops that will need the blend/ superblend (basically fertilizer +) and crops thatr will not need more than 1 fertilization despite being out of seaon.

so start by fertilizing blue bubble crops and as you identfy the weaker plants (rosed, watermelon, etc.) use stronger fertilizer wehere you need to.

Well now that it's the beggining of the season you have plenty of time before the next season change!

If you have strawberry blend fertilizer available it will help and once you unlock fertilizer in the flower shop, you can pretty much use the regular variety like candy.
