I’m not sure about requirements, but using bait, the beginner and intermediate AI were 200 points behind me in the fishing contest. Haven’t got a chance to try advance fishing yet.

I somehow won the begginer dog race. I thought I had it figured out, but the dog stopped co-operating near the end. I won it, but have no idea how.

I don't have the axact anwser, but with the cooking contest, i won the beginner with tomato juice i believe, next stage with a Great Quallity thing (A pizza if i remember correctly), won the first dog race with ease, i think it also depends on the friend level with your dog.
In the dog race hold back a bit, at first you will be a bit behind but as long you don't have to turn around to get your dog back it's ok.
And I find fishing just annoying, first time i won with 560 points, next stage never passed, i just keep cathing mosquito fish and yes i use the best fishing rod and excellent bait. i'm never lucky with fishing.

Interesting. In the dog race, I coaxed my dog the whole way, turning back to get him, and still won.

That’s what I tried during the dog race. It worked until the end when he started ignoring me no matter how close I was and eventually won the race wandering across the line.

Cooking:
