So far all I know is that Dean loves every kind of flower. Melanie loves pretty seashells (haven't tried normal seashells yet but probably the same).

Heart is they love it, Music note is the like it/netrual and angry scrible is they don't like it. Certain items with the hearts are there "Favorite" and is recorded in the villager tab as such (like Rowen's favorite is Cabbage, but he will get hearts from other crops to)..

So it's probably a tier systme like..
Hearts:"Favorite" "Love"
Note:"Like" netruel
Scrible:"Dislike" "Hate"

Idk for sure but based on the text, I think this is how it works.. If you spam talk to Tabhtia she will tell you a bunch of peoples dislikes (but its pretty random). The game says she will tell you what people like, but she hasn't told me any yet... Maybe you need her to like you more first.

Tabitha is a night owl -- you'll find her most often after the sun has set. Don't forget you can always check the map to see where people are.
