How/When do I get a fishing rod?
So, I'm in Summer Year 1 now, and I need a fishing rod to unlock Dewy. But where the heck can I get one? Or how? Or who should I get it from?

Fix the house behind Sally's and you should get the guy who gives you it shortly. The one you need flowers to build.

So...Cyril's. Crap. I only have one tulip and I need three, and I'm already in summer! Uuuuuugh! I have to wait a whole year for a fishing rod?!

No, just plant tulips and use fertalizer so they don't die.. Idk if you need to fertalize daily or how exactly it works.. I need to test it.. But if you keep some on hand you should be able to save before sleeping and just reload and fertailze them if they wilt... Or just fertalize them every day and lose the few 100gold (its like one gem anyway so its fine).

You can grow crops outside of their preferred seasons, but they will wilt if not babied. You will want to fertilize and water daily to ensure they grow up healthy -- and they may take a littler longer than their peak season time to grow, so be prepared with ample supplies.

A question on the Dewey topic. Was I supposed to fish in a specific place or was he supposed to show up when I first fished anywhere?

I see. I fixed the fertilizer bin, but how do I get compost this time?

he will appear when you fish up the broken stone. I found it in the river by the animal shop
