Report a translation problem
i think i seen somewhere else, this HM: LoP has same story as phone HM: SoM
because of "Harvest Moon" currently a new title and handle by other developer, the old HM renamed and continue as "Story of Seasons"
me 2
Those are my favorites.
Marvelous had to change the series name to Story of Seasons a few years back because they wanted to translate and publish the games under their own company instead of Natsune but Natsune kept the Harvest Moon name.
Amccus, the original developer, only ever made Harvest Moon. That was it. No more from the developers. For all we know, anything else they could have made could have been total crap. Or it could have been brilliant. We'll never know.
From Wikipedia:
During the NES and SNES era, Natsume-Atari developed numerous titles, often licensed, such as Power Rangers. Natsume Inc published a wide range of titles, including those developed by Natsume-Atari, such as S.C.A.T., Wild Guns and Shadow of the Ninja. Natsume also released the SNES game Pocky & Rocky as well as Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals. Natsume-Atari had also developed the Medabot games up until the end of the GBA era, which Natsume Inc published.
From the end of the Super NES era up until late 2014, Natsume Inc was known for publishing a series of Story of Seasons games in North America. The last game in the series they published was Harvest Moon: A New Beginning for the Nintendo 3DS. In 2015 the developer of the series, Marvelous AQL, brought the next game in the series, Story of Seasons, to North America with their own US branch, Xseed Games, ending the relationship they had with Natsume. Since then, Natsume has released their own games under the Harvest Moon name, starting with Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley,[5] continuing with Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories and the upcoming Harvest Moon: Skytree Village.
You are being misleading here intentionally or not. Amccus made the first game sure but the beloved games of the franchise were all made by Marvelous, more importantly if you had done your research properly you would know Yasuhiro Wada the creator of the original HM went onto work at Marvelous and the subsequent HM titles until 2010. So yeah we do know what those games were like because guess what they were made by Marvelous not Natsune.
I'm a long term fan of the franchise and an irrelevant wikipedia quote doesn't teach me anything that I don't already know about both Harvest Moon and Story of Seasons.
It was a tough topic to research, very niche information. Thanks for the clarification.
Who would've guessed? I'd take pixel stuff of that honestly. It just looks way too awkward
