Here is the CPU when the game is acting normal
https://i.imgur.com/15vTpXw.jpg
You can try hold mouse button for longer on the tab. Because CPU is overloaded it needs time to register click.
When you go to processes click on CPU once or twice that programs that use CPU the most will be on the top (if it's not selected aleardy).

The processes were the same, but svchost was a little higher at 200k instead of 187k. (sorry, i see this is memory usage now)
So what I did was end that process, and that took away the Windows 7 Aero theme and replaced it with a Basic one (uses solid colors for the toolbars, not transparent, etc.). That made everything run well again. I closed the game and rebooted it a few times. I alt+tabbed during all those times, and there was no longer a problem with alt+tab slowing down my computer.
I will reboot and see if the problem comes back.
This is really weird lol, never had this kind of problem before.

System Idle Process was using up the rest of the CPU.
I will try this again without the Aero theme.
-----------------------
Test 1
•Using Windows 7 Aero theme.
•Booted game, got into a level and shot a little.
•Paused and alt+tabbed to desktop. (I have to press alt+tab twice because doing it once doesn't do anything.)
Result: PC instantly got sluggish.
-------------------------
Test 2
•Switched to Basic Windows theme.
•Booted game, got into a level and shot a little.
•Paused and alt+tabbed to desktop. (This time I only had to press alt_tab once.)
Result: PC was running fine. No issues.
---------------------------
Test 3
•Repeated Test 1.
Result: PC instantly got sluggish.
---------------------------
Test 4
•Repeated Test 2
Result: PC was running fine. No issues.
--------------------------
Test 5
•Repeated Test 1
Result: Result: PC instantly got sluggish.
--------------------------
Test 6
•Repeated Test 2
Result: PC instantly got sluggish.
---------------------------
I was happy that I thought I had found the issue, but Test 6 shows the problem can still happen using a Basic theme
However, apparently it happens less often using the Basic theme.
If the problem was with the game, it would take the majority of CPU, but what we see from your screenshot System Idle Process takes most of it. As you mentioned, Aero theme might cause the problem most of the times, so we suggest not to alt+tab or disable Aero theme.
Regarding controllers vibration, currently the problem is with Xbox One gamepad. We tried different ways when testing and we narrowed possible reasons a little bit and it seems that it might be game engine problem (we did not make game engine ourselves, we only use it), so we'll have to wait till it's fixed with game engine updates. In the mean time we suggest to turn vibration OFF in game control settings.
Unfortunately, it is a hardware limitation and is not related with Blazing Beaks itself. Some keyboards have certain simultaneous key combinations which do not work - in your case Up Arrow + Left Arrow + Space. This is called "key jamming": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rollover_(key)#Key_jamming_and_ghosting
While key rebinding functionality is still not implemented in the game, as a temporary solution, we will make an alternative keyboard key for shooting.
I added alternative fire direction keys for no mouse mode. You can try it: "I" - up, "J" - left, "K" - down and "L" - right.
Before "ready" you can press UP/DOWN or W/S to select other characters. If you use a controller move right stick Up/Down.
