Also if you use any unofficial gamepads or gamepads that do not work like Xbox controllers it might not work, but soon we will add the support for more controllers.
If the above does not work, Steam has their own Controllers Support so check: in Steam menu press Steam -> Settings, on the left side pick Controller and on top right there will be General Controller Settings. In the opened window mark the checkbox PS4 Configuration support or Generic Gamepad Configuration Support depending on the controller you are using.
If it still does not work, there is a workaround that we suggest and which is worth trying. You can use an open source Xbox 360 controller emulator and bind the keys of your USB controller.
The software with additional information can be found here: https://www.x360ce.com/ or https://github.com/x360ce/x360ce
More detailed tutorial (a little bit old though) can be found here: http://blog.designs.codes/run-generic-usb-gamepad-xbox-360-controller-windows-pc/
Thank you for the quick response! I would like to ask advice: do I need to buy a new gamepad such as xbox 360 or some other one, because I have the usual one? And where can I write my tips for improving the game?
Official controllers like Xbox or PlayStation controllers are the most common and supported in majority of the games. So if you have one, most likely it will work in any game. Your decision should be based on how often you use gamepads playing games and how many different games you play.
Regarding tips and suggestions, you can post it here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/585710/discussions/0/1617220671495394105/
