Suggestions: Visual indicators, chicken marks, gun/ability stats
1) Ability UI: The indicator when your ability recharges works, but it's rarely near where you're looking. Perhaps have your character flash gently instead?

2) Cloak ability: Have an indicator for when the effect is active. Perhaps a light transparency effect?

3) Chicken marking: Negate on-death effects of marked enemies where appropriate. Acid Zits, Zit Eggs, and Puffus, for instance. That gives an incentive and a reward, makes the marking useful even when you can one-shot these enemies, and just feels nice when it happens.

4) Pause screen: Add the current weapon and ability to the pause screen, so you can select them to look at their stats like everything else you pick up. It seems odd that you can't check the details of your most important equipment. This might also be a good place to put your current character's special skills. When you're new to the character you don't necessarily remember everything.

5) Gun stat overlay: Show the current gun stats alongside for comparison. Also, show DPS so the players that care don't have to run the math every time.

Additionally, there is a sound as an indicator.

In the future we would like items, artefacts that have affect for some time would have visual representation when it's active or when the affect ends and etc., but for now it's postponed.

Notes taken, we will think about that.

We plan to add some of your mentioned things, but there have been some other planned things to do with higher priority. In the future, we will definitely add that, but cannot tell exactly when yet.

Not always better stats mean that weapon is better, because weapons have different mechanics and some other subjective criteria that make comparison very difficult.

It's handy to know if the new weapon is going to have a lower firing rate or faster shots without having to look it up on a wiki or memorize your current weapon's stats. As-is, it feels like I ought to be writing down a weapon's stats whenever I pick one up, since the game won't let me check later.

If you're trying to de-emphasize precise stats, then perhaps they shouldn't be given as precise numbers? Descriptors like "Fast", "Average", and "Very Slow" let you compare weapons without any numbers or math. They also let you understand a weapon without having to figure out the scale. Seeing a gun with 100 Distance doesn't really tell me anything on its own, but if it instead has a "Short" distance then it's clear.

Yeah, I have to agree with the suggestion of having some way to review the stats of the weapon you currently have equipped. Every time I go to buy a new gun I find myself looking for my current stats and not finding them. There's so much going on in this game, it's impossible for me to remember the stats of whatever weapon I've already got which has led to me buying a new weapon I wouldn't have otherwise many times. It's kind of a bummer.

Otherwise, I'm really enjoying your game! Thanks for all your hard work. :)
